Rukmani & Arun share a love story that’s all about hope. They are as alike as they are different and that’s what makes their love complete. Arun quoted Paulo Coelho and said “To love someone who loves you back, is like heaven on earth and that’s what I think about when I think of Rukmani”.
Theirs is a love that feels like heaven and that’s what Kingshuk Chakravarty, the composer of the song ‘Swargamey’, said, “Every time I compose a melody for Vishal it comes from a special place. His briefs always transport me right in the middle of the couple’s love story. After a two dozen projects together I just [get it…] get his vibe.”
The pre-chorus of the song narrates their love story in realest way possible.
Kaikorthu inayum pozhudhiley
Idhayangal vazhthupaadum melisaiyaaley
Sirikkindra vinmeen udhirum tharai varumey indhuvey….
Theera swargamey
The moment our hands join
The hearts of near and dear ones sing a melody of blessings
The stars smiling in the sky fall to the ground and this is…
Endless Heaven
Bharat Shankar, the lyricist of the song said, “The brief and the idea was quite interesting to me. Within a few minutes of brainstorming, I came up with the first draft. Later, I modified a few words and lines to make the song what it is”. This song was beautifully sung by Subiksha Rangarajan and mixed & mastered by Gaurav Chopra.
These are the lyrics & translation to the song “Swargamey”:
THEERA SWARGAMEY
Oru mudiyaa bandham thuvangum inn naal
This day, an everlasting bond is made
Inai puriya inbam enniley
It is a joy of association/unification
Idhu kanava nijama kaetkiren
Is it a dream or not, I ask
Kanavillai nijam thaan endrai
It’s not a dream, you say
En idhayam vendrai
And you won my heart
Kaikorthu inayum pozhudhiley
The moment our hands join
Idhayangal vazhthupaadum melisaiyaaley
The hearts of near and dear ones sing a melody of blessings
Sirikkindra vinmeen udhirum tharai varumey indhuvey……
Stars’ smiling in the sky fall to to the ground and this is…
Theera swargamey
Endless Heaven
Neeyum naanum serum Inbamey idhuvey
This is the joy of you and me coming together
Poovum kaatrum serum pudhu idhayamae
The flower and the wind join to make a new heart
Irumanam orumanam aagum kondaattamey ninaivil malarum
This celebration of two hearts becoming one will stay evergreen
Poovum kaatrum serum pudhu idhayamae
The flower and the wind join to make a new heart
Rukmani and Arun’s marriage is a manifestation of hope and belief in the fact that there’s nothing in the world that love cannot conquer.
